However, you may want to use Optifine with Forge mods as Forge has some of the best Minecraft mods around. From mods that can take you to space to mods that add in new tools to mods that just make Minecraft easier in general, there are tons of Forge mods that you can use with Optifine. So, let’s go ahead and go over exactly how to install Optifine with Forge in Minecraft 1.18.2! First things first, we need to download and install Forge. This is done just link you normally would. Start off by going to the third link in the description above. This will take you to our text tutorial for how to get Forge. Once this website, scroll download and click the ‘Download Forge’ button. This will take you to Forge’s official website where you want to make sure that 1.18.2 is selected in the left-hand sidebar. If it is click on ‘Installer’ under download latest. This will take you to a page where you want to click ‘Skip Ad’ in the top right. Forge 1.18.2 will start downloading. With Forge 1.18.2 downloaded, you need to install it. To open this, right-click on it, select ‘Open With’ select ‘java’, and click ‘Okay’. The Mod system installer for Forge will open up. Click ‘Install Client’ and click ‘Okay’.
