In it, he gives some suggestions on how to transform climate anxiety into effective climate action with this video! With the ongoing climate crisis, it is easy to feel anxious and hopeless but action is our only way out. This is a video to encourage hope and optimism towards climate action. With ecosystems around the world being destroyed, the sixth mass extinction going on, more intense hurricanes and heatwaves, and the average global temperatures rising- it is natural to feel extremely anxious and even spend sleepless nights worrying about our future. There is a real term for this suffering and fear for our survival - climate anxiety. A team from the University of Bath surveyed 10,000 children and young people (aged 16-25 years) in ten countries for climate anxiety. Nearly 60% of the respondents were extremely worried about climate change and felt sad, anxious, angry, powerless, helpless, and guilty.
