Description: I've been running businesses for over 10 years and notably successfully built a 7-figure digital agency (called Megaphone Marketing) & people ask me how do they become successful in business? Of course everyone has their own opinions and the specific tactics can change from time to time but what are some core principles that will always be important from now until the end of time. FOCUS Watch the video and learn how focus can play an important role in building a business. I know this is a lesson I've had to learn many times. 2. MENTORS A great mentor can give you all the answers. A quick framework I use: With meeting mentors: 1) Figure out what are my key problems (ie. business model, customer acquisition, hiring, standup comedy, etc...) 2) Find successful people that are roughly 5 years ahead of where I'd like to be (any more and they are too busy or disconnected to the problem) 3) Research people - know everything about them 4) Message them on LinkedIn (or email them) - be humble. Show you researched them. Ask to buy them coffee or lunch 5) Follow up 3 more times 6) Meet them. Be prepared 7) Offer them value where you can 8) Follow up 1 month later showing you took the advice and asking for another catch up. 3.
