If you cut out 500 calories per day you will lose a pound of fat at the end of the week because 3500 calories equals a pound of body fat. You want to make sure that you don’t cut calories too drastically, as that can have a negative impact on your goals. Tip #2: EAT MORE PROTEIN. When you start to lose body fat, sometimes your body will start to use muscle as a source of energy.
