Description: For knitters new to cables, it's helpful to take each step of a pattern piece by piece to help breakdown what a pattern is saying in order to do a right cable, or back cable, 4 over 2, Purl Back. The steps for these 4-over-2 cables also apply to any numbers of stitches. For Right Cables, the first set of 2 stitches goes in back, the second 4 stitches front, so the six stitches will twist with the second 4 going to the right up over the first 2. Slip the first 2 stitches (back stitches) to the cable needle, and let the needle drop to the back. Knit the next 4 stitches (front stitches) from the knitting needle. Pick up the cable needle, and hold it up to knit the stitches from it. Purl across the 2 (back) stitches from the cable needle. The stitches have flipped places; the second 4 stitches now in front to the right, the first 2 stitches twisted in back to the left, purled. On the next row, work across those stitches normally.
