Description: K1FB (or sometimes "K1F&B) is a knitted increase where you knit into the front AND back loop of a single stitch. This will always create a new stitch to the left of the stitch you work. It's extremely visible in stockinette, less so in garter stitch. You should not substitute this for other knitted increases as it looks completely different and can throw off your stitch count when working repeats, as in lace.
