The first step is to turn on your TV and connect both your iPhone and your SmartTV to same WIFI Network lets take youtube for example, when you open up the app on your iphone and you start watching a video you will see youtube cast icon that looks like a tv with a wifi symbol in it on the top right hand corner of the screen. Now all you have to do is to tap on it. And the app will ask you to allow access to the local network. select next. And a messege will pop up saying Youtube would like to find and connect to devices on your local network. Select okay And it'll show the devices that are in range and ready for connection. In my case I can see my TV as NEF SMART TV if you don't see your TV, make sure you are connected to the same wifi network on your iPhone and on your smart TV. And you may have to change some settings on your TV to make it visible to other devices. But When you see your TV just tap on it Your TV may ask you to allow conection to your iPhone so select allow and will start playing the same video you were watching on your phone And you should be able to controll the youtube app on your TV from your iPhone and you’ll be able to pause and play a video,turn the volume up and down and select a different video The same applies for other apps that have the same feature like netflix. If you would like to actually screen mirror your iPhone to the TV, we can use airplay Airplay is a function that allows you to share photos, music and videos to another device like Smart TV and it is already integrated on your iOS device as well as many Smart TV’s from different manufacturers. To Screen mirror iPhone to your TV just go to the control center. and you’re going to see a option that says mirroring or airplay depending on your version of iOS. When you tap on it. It’s going to show you a list of devices that are connected to the same Wi-FI Network. Select your TV. And if an AirPlay passcode appears on your TV screen, enter the passcode on you iOS device. And that’s it you now you should be able to see everything you’re doing on your iPhone from your TV. This will allow to play games and show your photos and videos to your friends, and everything that you’re doing on your phone will appear on the screen. perfect for school presentations etc. And if you love to play mobile games this a fantastic way to do it. With iPhone’s airplay you can stream videos directly to your TV. Like in the case of paramount plus. When you’re watching a movie just tap on the airplay icon and it will stream the video directly to your TV.
