Description: I show how to collect clean, drinkable water from plants. This method of collecting water from plants involves tying a plastic bag over a leafy branch and allowing the plant to transpire into the bag. It is an effective way to get clean, pure water. The downside is you need a lot of plastic bags to collect enough water to live on. This method is more useful as a supplemental water supply. You can go 100 hours without drinking at an average outdoor temperature. In many environments, there is either a lack of water or the water is unsafe to drink. Fortunately, there are usually some plants around. You can extract clean water from plants because they absorb water from the ground and filter out many of the impurities in the water. Plants transpire water, which means that water vapor evaporates from the leaves, and this water can be collected. This is a non-destructive process, does not harm the plant and can be repeated over and over again on different branches Connect With Me: - Twitter: twitter.com/VonMalegowski - Instagram: instagram.com/vonmalegowski - Facebook: facebook.com/VonMalegowski2 Von Malegowski Equipment List: goo.gl/x5VtWv Von Malegowski Equipment List (Updated 2020): bit.ly/2XCXAMH Music: YouTube Audio Library Tracks: Parasail, Silver Artists: Silent Partner; Riot Intro Music: YouTube Audio Library Tracks: Foundation Artists: Vibe Tracks Photos and Videos Creative Commons Attribution: (creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/) - Poison Ivy, by NY State IPM Program at Cornell University ©Von Malegowski.
