Description: Hey guys, in today's video I’m going to be showing you how to blowout your hair like a pro. Ever since completing my hair stylist certification with OMA, blowing drying has become one of my favourite hair styling techniques and today I really wanted to show you my blowout tutorial. 00:00 - Intro 00:16 - Why I love Blow Drying 01:06 - What You need To Achieve This Look 02:14 - Pre Styling & Hair Prep 03:10 - How To Section & Blow Dry Correctly 05:01 - Finishing The Hair Styles 05:50 - Before & After Blow Drying 06:13 - More Hair Videos From Me The reason I wanted to make a video on how to blow dry hair for you guys was because not long ago I posted a picture on my instagram (instagram.com/thomasinaction/) where I did a salon blowout and a lot of you asked whether I could to a hair tutorial on how I achieved the look soo, here it is! If you’re a guy who always thought a hair dryer is off the cards for you because it always makes your hair seems poofier than what you’d like, then this video is definitely for you. I was the exact same with my long hair until I learnt how to use a blow dryer & how to use a round brush in my hair course. There was one lesson in particular that covered exactly how to get a salon blowout at home and after watching it everything just clicked and I thought the info was too good not to share because well, we all deserve awesome hair right? So, in order to achieve a hairdresser blowout that you would expect when you actually go to the hairdresser, you need a few things including: 1. If you’re planning on achieving a wavy blowout, straight blowout or volume blowout you will definitely need a hair dryer lol. In today’s video I’ll be using my Dyson Supersonic. You don’t need a super expensive hair dryer for this as a hair dryer is a hair dryer… At the end of the day, I just love the Dyson Supersonic for its features and the way it’s designed just makes the process of styling so much easier. If you wanna check out the Dyson Supersonic after watching this hair tutorial just click the following link: dyson.com.au/products/hair-care/dyson-supersonic-hair-dryer/overview 2. You’re going to need a roundbrush to hold your sections nice and tight whilst we blow dry. I also use a Dyson vented ceramic roundbrush. It came as a free gift when I bought my Supersonic. You can check out the exact brush I use here: dyson.com.au/vented-barrel-brush-45mm-fuchsia-970293-02 3. Some alligator clips to hold your sections in place. You can find some of those here: amzn.to/3caqcTm 4. A tail comb to divide your sections. You can find those here: amzn.to/2H6UavU 5. A Wide tooth comb, I’ll show you why a bit later and you can find one of those here: amzn.to/2ZR2YNg 6. Some duckbill clips to help set your hair after we’ve finished blow drying: amzn.to/3kz3Mhk 6. A heat protector so we don’t damage our hair: amzn.to/3kz3SFI 7. Some sort of pre styling product. Below are links to the ones I used in this video: bhave Leave in Creme: bhavehair.com.au/all-products/styling/leave-in-creme-5-fl-oz-smooth-operator Shea Moisture Styling Lotion: amzn.to/3hM98nE I must say also, a lot of what I teach in this video has been inspired by the one and only Bradmondo or better know on instagram as “Bradmondonyc”. Although he has short hair now, he was a big inspiration of mine back in the day when he did have long hair and made really similar content to what i create these days. He’s best known now for his Hairdresserreacts videos which are super entertaining. If you haven’t seen them yet I definitely suggest you check them out when you have a chance. He’s just so funny haha. Over this whole period of 2020 he’s also been doing a lot of “how to cut your own hair at home” content for anyone struggling in quarantine looking to carry out a good old diy haircut or diy hair color. It’s important to have figures like him doing what he does and what’s even better is the humor he is able to bring to a top notch hair fail lol. Anyway, for all the tips and tricks to blow your hair out like a pro, make sure you watch till the end of this video and let me know in the comments if you end up trying this out! I’d be interested to know! Lastly, if you have any questions regarding this style or the techniques involved in this video, feel free to ask in the comments as well and i’ll get back to you as soon as I can. See you next week for another hair video! Goood bye!
