While I’m here in Pakistan, my overarching theme will be showing the real side of the country, the good, the bad and the just plain awesome. I’ll be interviewing, dancing, traveling, sneezing, eating, vlogging, meeting, cooking, sightseeing and so much more. It’s pretty apparent how little the rest of the world knows about Pakistan. And I want to be a part of the radical social media movement that changes the negative image. I want the world to see Pakistan through YOUR eyes and not through the eyes of mainstream media. When you post anything about your lives, even if you think it might be boring, add the hashtag #therealpakistan. People need to see Pakistanis as a people with a huge amount of culture, religion, food and lifestyle. This “terrorist” stigma needs to be eradicated. I will be in Islamabad for a few weeks, followed by Lahore for a month and Karachi for another month. Afterwards I’ll be exploring the rural areas of Pakistan and will head up North for six months for the Spring and Summer.
