Description: Watch The Full Philip DeFranco Show: youtube.com/defranco?sub_confirmation=1 Subscribe for more Quickie News: youtube.com/defranco?sub_confirmation=1 Over a dozen people died from drinking a literal river of burning whiskey! It happened in 1875 when a fire broke out in a Dublin storehouse holding 300,000 gallons of undiluted whiskey. And no one knows what started the fire, but eventually, you had barrels of whiskey just straight up exploding, the liquor then flowing down the street and forming a 6-inch deep flaming river. More buildings catching fire. Livestock running wild through the streets. Everything is sheer chaos. However, quick evacuation efforts kept anyone from getting injured by the fire — at least directly. Instead, you had scores of people trying to lap up the undiluted whiskey with pots, pans, boots, their tongues — whatever they could find, Leading to 24 people being hospitalized and 13 others dying from alcohol poisoning. So the main point of this story is: don’t be stupid, stupid! —————————— Produced by: Philip DeFranco, Cory Ray Edited by: James Girardier, Maxwell Enright Art Department: William Crespo Writing/Research: Philip DeFranco, Cory Ray ———————————— #DeFranco #Shorts #WeirdHistory
