Description: Who is behind the convoy protest and what do they really want? The Fifth Estate spoke to one of the key organizers of the convoy that occupied part of downtown Ottawa for three weeks. Pat King promotes racist and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories in videos posted on social media. In one video, the Alberta resident is seen mocking specific ethnicities. In another, he says Anglo-Saxons have "the strongest bloodline." In an interview with Fifth Estate host Gillian Findlay, King made multiple false claims related to COVID-19 and vaccines. He said he believes the vaccine is part of a conspiracy to depopulate the Anglo-Saxon race. COVID-19 vaccines have been subject to peer-reviewed testing and have been found to reduce the risk of infection and serious symptoms. In the weeks leading to his arrival in Ottawa, King also predicted violence. “Trudeau, someone’s going to make you catch a bullet one day,” he said in a video.
