Description: Hong Kong is on track to ease more COVID-19 restrictions from May 19, despite fluctuations in daily infections. Over 270 new cases were reported on May 10. Still, Chief Executive Carrie Lam said the city is set to lift tough curbs soon. Nightlife will return to the city with bars and nightclubs allowed to reopen. Restaurants can also extend service hours to midnight. Hong Kong is also hoping to reopen its border with mainland China soon. Meanwhile, China is still struggling to control outbreaks. The authorities will set up testing booths within a 15-minute walking distance from all major cities.
