Description: If we are going to learn about the Earth, we had better start from the beginning! The Hadean, Archean, and Proterozoic eons will take us all the way from the formation of the Earth, 4.6 billion years ago, until about half a billion years ago, so it's a very nice chunk of time. A lot happened over that time, in the way of the changing conditions on the Earth and its topography, as well as the emergence and evolution of life.
