Description: Support Tesla Racing Channel and help yourself by using our referral link - ts.la/theodore6632 The Tesla P100D has been on hard tires for quite some time now because most of the street races simply won't allow an AWD car to come on 4 slicks. Well at the track the Tesla hooks up great on hard tires, currently Michelin Super Sports on our 21" T Sportline Wheels. But on the street the car the car just de-powers right after the launch. It's very picky about the surface it's on, has to be perfect, not to smooth but not too rough either. So trying to think around this issue I purchased some 305 wide Michelin sport cup 2s for our 19" bbs wheels. Not a drag radial tire but being about as soft a hard tire as they offer. Hard tire being classified by anything under 200 tread-wear. The only problem was the car still wouldn't hook up. So after losing enough street races its time we put the Mickey Thompson drag radials back to business!
