Where we make fun crafts and items from your farm! 💐 Right in time for Mother’s Day, we have a special craft that you can share with your mothers, friends, neighbors, and even yourself. We’re making Hay Day’s Gracious Bouquet! We’ve prepared easy instructions and a video, so you can follow along step-by-step. Go ahead, give it a try! Materials: • 5-6 Lilies • Green leaves and foliage of your choice • Craft or garden string Decoration: • 5 Wooden sticks • 5 Acrylic diamonds • Instant glue Wrapping: • 2 Blue crepe or tissue paper • Roll of golden ribbon • Craft glue • Prep time: 50 mins • Equipment: Scissors or garden cutters, tray, paint brush, sharp knife, large working surface, vase Method: • Begin by crafting the decorations. • On a tray or working surface, take your instant glue and attach the acrylic diamonds on top of the flat end of each stick, one by one, and set aside to dry. • Take your crepe paper and cut two equal rectangles. • Measure the golden ribbon to the length (longest side) of the crepe paper rectangles and cut 4 pieces of ribbon. • Glue the ribbons to each long side of the crepe paper, and set aside to dry. • Cut away any excess ribbon to make sure the ribbon and paper align perfectly. • For the bouquet, layout your lilies and green foliage on your working surface to easily start picking them. • If needed, gently tear away any unwanted leaves or stems for the lilies. • Pick a lily, then some green leaves or foliage. Add an acrylic diamond stick, and repeat until you have a nicely formed bouquet. • Make sure each element is seen when looking at the bouquet from the side or the top. • Shorten the stems of the bouquet a little bit with scissors or garden cutters. • With the string, securely tie the flowers together. • If stems need a bit more trimming, cut with scissors or garden cutters. But not too short. • Wrap flowers in the blue and gold crepe paper. • Complete by tying a gold ribbon, and secure a lovely bow to make it look gracious!
