Description: Follow me on Instagram & Twitter: @mustafah Follow Ahmad on Instagram & Twitter: @ahmadatieh Happy Ramadan From Around The World! We went around New York City and asked people from all different nationalities to talk about Ramadan and to wish all the muslims a Ramadan Mubarak! Ramadan is all about feel good vibes and giving back and helping people and so we thought this would be a good idea to do. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar where Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. Ramadan is a holy month of fasting, introspection and prayer for Muslims, the followers of Islam. Fasting is one of the five fundamental principles and pillars of Islam. Each day during Ramadan, Muslims do not eat or drink from sunrise to sunset. They are also supposed to avoid impure thoughts and bad behavior. Muslims break their daily fasts by sharing meals with family and friends, and the end of Ramadan is celebrated with a three-day festival known as Eid al-Fitr, one of Islam’s major holidays. The first day of Ramadan - the holiest month for Muslims - is observed according to the local visibility of the new crescent moon. Ramadan 2018, like many other years, had a differing opinion on what day to start fasting because the moon had not been sighted in some places. We have done similar videos before where we pay for peoples groceries and try to give back and do random acts of kindness as much as we can. Muslims also refrain from listening to music and try to read and listen to as much Quran as possible. Business Inquiries: collabs@mustafahussain.com
