Description: A few of us got together on halloween not to do anything special or scary but simply to have a play date and get some air! Apologies for the shaky footage my hand and arms were jelly from yard work. I need to get a new camera so you can see and really hear the birds, these video dont do them justice. - Tried to get Pabu to come out but he refused to leave the aviary so i cant force him, so instead Dory and Penguin came along! I didnt get too much footage of them flying around due the above mentioned and being too tired to get up and move around #sozaboutit! - As you can see it’s spring and theres alot of baby minah’s and butcher bird babies out and about. What people dont tend to realise is australia has the most aggressive and territorial birds in the world. So its a normal occurrence for our birds to get chased and harassed, this tends to only happen in new areas as they dont know what these rainbow chickens are lol - The birds were not in danger, i would only be worried if a new flyer was out as this would be problematic but not dire (unless small bird) other then that everyone had a great time stretching their wings and foraging on the grass. Mowgli’s mum got a new bub! Maui! He will be free flying soon, i cant wait until i have Roku & Korra’s baby to start training and taking out! But that may be a couple years away with their age (5+3yo). - Im going to also start recording short snippets of the birds before going out and after, this way people can see what i mean about some days they just refuse to come out and prefer to stay behind. Also for anyone who asks, no... i will never force them to come out against their will this is a sure way to damage relationship, put your wants/needs above the birds and also shows little respect for the individual. - Its almost midnight as i write this so if it makes no sense thats why, and if i missed some swear words in video thats why as well! So apologies in advance. Penguin is almost read for his new home!
