Description: Go Here to Download Your Book - myboxingcoach.com - Getting your skills right requires the disciplined and precise repetition of boxing drills. The boxing drills that I demonstrate in this video are executed from a static foot position, but movement is vital! If you are going to hold your feet, that is you are going to go static for a moment and not move, it is vital that other movements are added. So in these boxing drills we use slips and ducks combined with jabs and hooks. Using slips and ducks helps you remain defensively strong whilst still being able to launch effective attacks. It's efficient and when done right it's very effective. So the round structure for these boxing drills is: Round 1 - Jab - duck - back hand (1), duck - jab - back hand to the head (2) Round 2 - Jab - slip inside - lead hand hook (1), jab - slip outside - hook (2) Round 3 - Jab - lay back - one two (1), back hand - lay bak - back - hand (2) There is often an urge to bounce around when doing boxing drills - don't. Hold the feet, use rely on the body movements combined with the punches to deliver the results. These boxing drills are maybe more at the intermediate level rather than the beginner level, but even if you are a beginner, give them a go.
