Exodus 3:14 - And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. In John’s gospel, Jesus made seven profound “I am” statements (“I am the bread of life … the light of the world … the gate [for the sheep] … Good Shepherd … the resurrection and the life … the way, the truth and the life … the true vine …”). Jesus identified himself as the great “I AM.” Our life is hid with Christ in God therefore we must reverence Him.
