Description: I use this workshop to build my high performance hunting / camping / survival knives: store.goughcustom.com I had a number of people request that I do a video tour of the workshop. I had some spare time the other day while waiting for the handle glue-ups on a batch of knives to cure so I thought I would show you guys around! This video shows how I have the whole workshop laid out, and also covers the major tools in the workshop. If you have any questions at all about the tools please feel free to ask in the comments! Next year the shop is going to end up looking quite different as I start bringing in CNC machinery to help me get more knives out to you guys! -Aaron My grinder is a Beaumont Metal Works KMG Grinder (variable speed): beaumontmetalworks.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=62 The tumbler is from C&M Topline: candmtopline.com/finishing_tanks.html#300 The kiln is an Evenheat KH418 with the Rampmaster control: usaknifemaker.com/heat-treat-ovens-and-accessories-c-57/evenheat-ovens-and-kilns-c-57-81/evenheat-kh-418-6-5-wx4-25-hx18-d-w-rampmaster-control-120v.html The milling machine is a King Canada KC20VS, but there are other places where you can get that same machine less expensively. Grizzly stocks it as the G0704. The lathe is a 10x22" and is also available from Grizzly. The compound slide on that lathe is not terribly rigid, and is a serious weak point in an otherwise reasonably nice lathe. Replacing the compound with a solid block of steel is a good solution.
