Description: This dog has been barking it's head off at EVERYthing for 4 years. His owners took him to purely positive trainers, and little did they know, they were actually REWARDING their dog for barking!! This is our very first session, and we stopped the behavior immediately. We often talk about stopping unwanted behavior before you begin any obedience work because the dog won't be in the right state of mind to begin training while its aroused and going nuts---also, if you present food while the dog is in a heightened state of mind, all you're doing is reinforcing it! SO many people struggle with their dogs incessant barking, and they really don't need to be. We stop this nonsense behavior in under a few minutes usually. Then we begin the real work of teaching the dog everything we DO want it to do. But you cannot skip step one, which is stopping the behavior.
