Description: This video is a good example of neophobia: a fear of new or novel objects. Zelda & Midna aren't sure what to think of the new armoire. They decide since they can't eat it, they don't really trust it Zelda and Midna are two coydogs who live with their brother Bast, a wolfdog. Coyotes and animals with coyote content tend to be some of the hardest canines to live with. They are exceptionally skittish and whirling dervishes of destruction. Zelda and Midna's mom has worked full time to gain their trust after they were abused, rehomed multiple times, and left to starve within the first few months of life. They now trust her implicitly, but anything new is still quite suspect: new furniture, new people, new sounds or smells; they're all very good reasons to pee in fear and hide. Coydogs also are notorious for being incredibly mouthy; they tend to test new things with their teeth. The girls have decided that since they cannot eat the armoire, it very well may be able to eat them, and thus is not something worth trusting.
