Description: Follow me on Instagram for Sneak Peeks of my next video instagram.com/jakes_custom_knives Forging a Knights Dagger From A Chisel I have wanted to forged another dagger for a while now and when I saw this chisel I know what I was going to forge next. I wanted this dagger to be a integral design with the guard incorporated into the handle. I forged the blade out and cut 2 lines with an angle grinder and used a chisel to spreed them out to create the hand guard. I polished the knife to 400 grit and soaked it in distilled white vinegar for 1 1/2 hours. I wanted the knights dagger to look aged. I decided to test the dagger out on a 2x6 and it passed. I know this is a dagger designed for thrusting and not chopping but I wanted to test the strength and the edge retention. The dagger could still easily cut paper after the 2x6 test.
