It is the largest of London's Royal Parks with a specific focus for wildlife conservation. The park is also a national nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest. Richmond Park is home to ancient trees and supports a wide range of rare species including fungi, birds, beetles, bats, grasses and wildflowers.
