Description: Learn how to install a removable violin/viola fine tuner. The easiest way to add or remove fine tuners is with one string at a time. 1) Take apart the nut and adjusting screw 2) Remove ball end of string from the tailpiece. 3) Insert threaded side of the fine tuner in the hole from under the tailpiece and reapply the nut with the smaller end down, by hand. It's a good idea to protect the top of the instrument with a rag. If the fine tuner is too loose you could hear a buzzing noise when playing. If you tighten it too tight with a pliers you can break the tailpiece. 4) apply the ball end of the string between the forks on the fine-tuner. Spread the forks enough to allow the thickness of your string to pass between if necessary. You can achieve this with a thin screwdriver or knife but be careful. Tune the instrument and add the adjusting screw until you feel a slight tension. fiddlershop.com/search?type=article%2Cpage%2Cproduct&q=removable+fine+tuner
