Description: Waikiki was once a playground for Hawaiian royalty. Waikiki is a neighborhood within the city of Honolulu on the south shore, which is on the island of Oahu. Waikiki is most famous for its beaches. The beach is popular and busy because it offers a calm swimming area with a protected seawall. Waikiki water temperature ranges from 75-82 degrees F (24-28 C). Waikiki, although crowded and very touristy was fun and I enjoyed my time there. Waikiki beach therapy is real. If you're looking for things to do in Waikiki, you can always take a stroll down to the beach. This world-renowned beach is actually a series of beaches that, together, are widely considered to be one of the most iconic in the world. At the beach there is a pier that you can jump off, even though the sign says, "No jumping." I'm a 41 year old woman and I did it. The water is very warm! I swam for over 2 hours until the sun went down. I never got cold. I got some footage of me swimming underwater. I would recommend water shoes or socks. There is a rock bed under the water. I cut my feet up and scraped my knees on it pretty good when I was swimming and frolicking in the waves. I even saw a perfect Hawaii rainbow that turned into a double rainbow! It was magical. All of the Hawaiian Islands are truly magical and beautiful. Hawaii is know as "The Rainbow State."
