Description: We have worked with thousands of dogs like this over the last 20 years. Of course the dog needs obedience and boundaries, but most importantly, the dog needs to understand both yes AND no. Dogs that aren't given both ends of the spectrum are dogs that are missing out on so many learning opportunities. Dogs NEED TO KNOW what is acceptable and what is not. We start the process by making things super clear and enforcing a strong "no", so the dog will learn to change its behavior based on the consequence. When the dog makes a good choice, a reward is followed. It's simple, clear and direct. It's a system that any dog can learn. ALL animals learn this way. Once the dog realizes that its bad behavior is actually followed up with an intolerable consequence, it will think twice and be open to alternate coping mechanisms. That's when we start our counter coditioning process of THOUSANDS of positive repetitions to change the dog's association to the trigger. This is only session ONE. We have six weeks to enforce this and help Pepe make much better choices in life.
