Description: "What I really like about printmaking is the infinite possibilities for it," explains artist and Boston University College of Fine Arts senior Brianna Howard. "You start with a blank plate, and you make marks on the plate, and you work on the plate. You think you know what it's going to look like, but it isn't until you go and print it that you know for sure." According to Brianna, that special element of surprise before uncovering the final design is one of the many joys that lies in the art of printmaking. The CFA senior takes us through the many steps of her creative process, and how both her printmaking and painting work seamlessly came together for her senior thesis project.
