Description: Originally a two story osteopathic hospital that housed roughly 100 patients, this hospital was built in 1937 and specialized in the treatment of diseases and ailments by means of surgery. It featured a state of the art x-ray facility, an operating room, and surgical wards. As the building was being completed, plans were already being made for a new expansion that would add offices, as well as another 2-story patient wing in 1943. As the city grew the hospital expanded five times throughout the 1950s, adding new buildings and additional floors onto existing ones in the process. The hospital began losing money in the 1990’s and those working there took notice. Many began looking for work elsewhere, sensing that change was coming. Eventually the hospital shut down at the end of 1992, and stayed vacant through the beginning of the 2000s. In 2004 a small portion of the facility was used as an academy for students in the area, but after negative feedback from parents and students, it shut down as well in 2012. Since then the entire facility has sat abandoned and decaying. This is the most decayed facility I've ever seen.
