Description: Today I walkthrough, explain, test and review the Elgato WaveXLR. This thing essentially turns any XLR mic into a Wave3. This has 75dB of gain for your microphone (so yes it can drive the Shure SM7b), it has a digital mixer to mix multiple digital sound sources, and also has a clipboard feature to ensure you don’t distort your analog to digital converters. Regarding the A/D converters it is 24-bit 48/96kHz, which is great.
