With the half-steps gone, Pentatonic functions with ease when it comes to melody creation. This lesson focuses on helping the thousands upon thousands of guitar players out there who feel stuck using the 5-tone Pentatonic as their primary scale for melodic creation. Learn an easy 3 minute exercise that delivers the two missing scale tones of the key and helps to build a more sophisticated lead guitar sound. The lesson examples break down scale tones inside Major and Minor tonality along with the knowledge that you'll need when it comes to adding the remaining two notes of the Major or Minor key signature being played over. The lesson begins by clarifying what a Pentatonic scale is and then progresses to an exercise that provides a path of study to developing a solid rehearsal method.
