Description: Atmospheric flow simulation using 2D Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) seamlessly mapped around a sphere in Blender - Inspired by the old video game SimEarth from 1990, I thought it would be interesting to start a little side project to replicate the major dynamics of a planet using some math and a simplistic model. It's not about making an accurate weather simulation but more about a global simulation on the development of atmospheric gases, temperature, and plant growth over a longer period of time. I'm interested to play around with the interdependencies to learn more about the climate system. I basically hope that ultimately I will be able to visualize the Gaia hypothesis: "Topics related to the hypothesis include how the biosphere and the evolution of organisms affect the stability of global temperature, salinity of seawater, atmospheric oxygen levels, the maintenance of a hydrosphere of liquid water and other environmental variables that affect the habitability of Earth." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaia_hypothesis Music: Boat Floating - Puddle of Infinity (YT Audio Lib)
