Description: While I was in Miami with Shmee150 we visited @dennis_akoyaking who owns a very special Ferrari F50. This particular F50 is known as chassis 001 and carries over many parts from the F50 prototype which makes it unlike any other production F50 in existence. While Shmee150 was out driving the car I was chatting with the owner and he offered to let me drive it! I was a bit hesitant with the lurking rainstorm but couldn't pass on the opportunity to drive one of my all time dream cars. Even though it was a quick drive around the block I was over the moon with joy and couldn't be more thankful for the chance to drive it. I have ridden in a few F50s in the past and have moved them around parking lots but this was my first go out on the road by myself. The car is powered by a 4.7 liter naturally aspirated V12 derived from a Formula 1 car which is bolted directly to the tub and is also the same V12 that is found in the Ferrari 333 SP although massively detuned for road use. Being able to feel the raw power of that V12 connected to the 6 speed gated manual transmission was a dream come true. While rolling on the power in 2nd gear the car was instantly lighting up the rear tires and I was taking it very gently. There is no power steering, you are surrounded by carbon fiber, you have a V12 begging to be driven hard, and as tempting as it is to drive it like you stole it you have to keep your wits about you before you get into trouble.
