Description: Surprisingly, the discharge from this abscess was mostly serosanguinous as opposed to frank pus and that's possibly because he'd had extended antibiotics beforehand. When you are irrigating these types of lesions it is better to do it in a pulsatile fashion in an effort to dislodge more material as opposed to slowly pushing your sterile water or normal saline in continuously. This healed up nicely and without incident.
