Description: DIY Ventless Indoor Fireplace! DIY fireplace! uses ventless fireplace fuel. built with 2 things... 10 flat stone bricks (2"x4"x8") and 4 stainless steel sauce cups (2 oz. each). this is a follow-up video to the original to show extended burn footage (at multiple angles and light levels). construction and build footage are included in the video. note that the entire video is nearly silent. (no talking at all). i did it that way to capture the relaxing nature of the flames. a few details: cost about $10.00. the 10 bricks were 77 cents each (at home depot) and the sauce cups were $3.12 for 12 (on amazon). powered with ethanol fuel (specifically i used ventless indoor fireplace fuel). mimics the look of a real "wood burning" fire. great for ambiance and relaxing. ethanol fireplace fuel burns 100% "particulate free" meaning no smoke, soot, fumes or odors of any kind. burning ethanol fuel only releases two things... water vapor and a small amount of co2 (small meaning about the same that a human exhales). i mainly made this project for the relaxing aspect of it - but it's good for space heating too. (about 400w of heat per sauce cup). why pay hundreds of dollars for a ventless fireplace - this one only cost about 10 dollars to make! note: for a permanent setup consider using cement (possibly portland cement) to hold the bricks. one last thing... don't try to blow out the flames. they are strong. i usually just cover the sauce cup (with a metal spatula) if i want to put the flame out. if you like the video please rate, comment, sub and share!
