Description: #Nightstand #MDF #diy here's a nightstand made of 15mm MDF and white oak legs with splined miter joints. To give the paint job a nice structure, I developed this technique. It also looks great where I applied it in bathrooms and on kitchen walls (as an alternative to tiles). I apply the first coat of regular acrylic paint with the paint roller. When the first coat is almost dried, I use a japan spatula without water to make same structure. In the next step I spatulate paint over the first coat for a smooth surface. Directly after I use same water and the japan spatula for a nice finish. It's very importand to use a sharp edged japan spatula with rounded corners and without any inperfections.
