Description: How To Make Clean Burning "alcohol powered" candle lamps! lots of light! long lasting! smoke free! powered with bio-ethanol alcohol fuel (isopropyl alcohol can also be used). very easy to make! all that's needed is small glass bottles with metal lids (4 to 8 oz. sizes work best), 1/4" wicks and the fuel. lamps are shown with the optional "decorative" glass rock and fire pit glass *to customize their look! i made 3 models 1.) is made using a 6 oz. spice jar with teal-green polished glass rocks. 2.) is made with an 8 oz. mason jar and amber-colored polished glass rocks and 3.) is made with a 7 oz. generic "dollar store" jar with light blue fire-pit glass rocks. i ran them with both ethanol and isopropyl alcohol. the flames are shown both in and out of bright light. take care in bright light (the flame is nearly invisible). great for off-grid lighting, emergency lighting, mood lighting, or for when you're just 'kicking back' and relaxing. tip: glass jelly jars with metal lids work great - if you can't get spice jars (4 to 6 oz.) or half pint (8 oz.) mason jars. short and fat containers work the best by far. they are stable and are just the right height (so the wick never struggles to 'wick up' the alcohol). overall, the 8 oz. mason jar is probably the closest thing there is to finding the perfect 'size and shape' (for the longest uninterrupted burn). taller jars will struggle to "wick up" the alcohol *and after a while the wick will blacken and burn. the wicks i used are 1/4" and are sold on amazon. note: only use glass jars with metal lids. burns much cleaner and brighter than a standard wax candle. bio-ethanol (the fuel used) burns super clean. it only releases water vapor and a small amount of co2 when burned. (small meaning about the amount that a human exhales). there is no smoke, soot, fumes or odors. if you like the vid. please rate, comment, sub and share! 🙂
