However, Tolkien actually borrowed from Norse mythology for his interpretation of the elves in Middle Earth. Unlike the angelic characterization of Light Elves, Dark Elves (Dökkálfar) are the personification of all of the worst human traits. We wanted to create a mythical and dream-like tale with our own spin on the concept of Dark Elves. Our original song is our own imaginative story depicting the danger of the allure and seduction of darkness, and we hope it brings you to another world and back again with perhaps a new perspective. We all make a choice to embrace the light or the dark. Everything that you hear in the video is just our harps and our voices – exactly like we can perform it live with no overlays or backing tracks.
