Description: In this video we take a deep dive into the "AMD SMT FIX" for Cyberpunk 2077, that's recently been doing the rounds online. We'll be taking a look at the potential performance benefits, possible downsides as well as all the confusion. We tested both the HEX EDIT and the Performance Overhaul Mod (Now known as the Cyber Tweaks Plugin). All gameplay was captured on our SAPPHIRE NITRO+ AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card and Ryzen 7 5800X CPU. To be clear, this video demonstrates that it's possible to see large performance gains with SMT enabled on Ryzen based processors containing 8 or more physical cores. However, that's not a guarantee that everybody with a 8, 12 or 16 core Ryzen will see an uplift in performance. If you do try this mod/fix yourselves, be sure to benchmark performance in multiple areas to ensure that you're not losing FPS.
