Description: A Boeing 747 battling with light crosswinds at Maastricht a few weeks ago. After my first crosswind landings video from MST I visited the airport a again about a week later because there were crosswinds again, this time from the other side. A Boeing 747 of Lontail Aviation performed a perfect crosswind landing on runway 21 after a flight from Karaganda. You can still see the former operator of the airplane which used to obviously Cathay Pacific Cargo. Longtail is a rather new cargo airline which operates under the flag of Bermuda (VQ-). It` s definitly in need of a wash if you ask me ;). Another highlight was the Airbus A330 Freighter of Malaysia Cargo which is not a usual visitor at this Airport. It operated a charter flight from Penang via Dubai to Maastricht and left to Kuala Lumpur later on. Ethiopian Airlines became a frequent visitor at Maastricht aswell but although they only operate cargo flights to this airport they usually don` t show up with cargo planes. These passenger planes operate as cargo planes and are called "Preighters" (Pax+Freighter mix).
