Description: The thirteenth episode The Metroid series, perhaps THE quintessential Creepy Time Limits series; everywhere Samus goes, thing are liable to explode eventually. And yet, until now, I had never covered any of the game in these videos. The reason was because I was actually intimidated by the sheer quantity of timed escapes in total across all the games! I honestly had no idea where to start... but today, that ends. Featured this time is all of the timed sections from all of the 2D mainline Metroid titles, starting with Metroid 1 and ending with Metroid Dread. Rather than viewing this as one long video, think of it as lots of short ones combined. The 3D games will be featured in a future video, probably. Intro: 0:00 Metroid: 0:56 Super Metroid: 7:53 Metroid Fusion: 21:10 Metroid: Zero Mission: 35:27 Metroid Dread: 44:12 Time limits. I don't know about anyone else, but they terrify me. I like to take my time when playing video games, enjoying the experience at my own pace. But the moment I'm told that I'm going to be working against a timer, I can't help panicking. I'm thrown out of my comfort zone, and even the easiest tasks become tough to accomplish. Sure, it's good to be thrown out of a loop from time to time, and there's nothing wrong with a variety of challenges, but I always want the scary timer section cleared as soon as possible and move onto something else a little tense. In this series, I take a look at timer sequences in games that got to me the most. NOTE: In cases where bad endings and scary timers overlap, (Example: Bad ending requires a timer to run out) Creepy Bad Endings will win out, and the video will be a CBE video.
