Description: Hello I'd like to welcome you to another great relaxing video where this decorative vase project continues! This is part 2 to a mini-series, and in this video I bake and sand (refine) this vase so it looks smooth to the touch. This extra effort is very apparent as you can see in the video, also there is a sneak-peek photo at the end of this video showing you some butterflies on this thing. I'm shocked just how nice it's turning out!! The audio is WAY more enjoyable this time around too. This was baked in our kitchen oven for 15 minutes at 275 degrees, then once fully cooled ( I waited a couple days lol, but you don't have to wait that long) I then wet-sanded it in water, starting with 150 grit, then finished it up using 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper. Some of the cracks I etched in while it was soft were lost due to it not being "deep" enough and I also had a couple cracks (real cracks lol) in a area where the clay butts together poorly. (addressed in the next video) As you can see from the teaser photo at the end of this video, butterflies will go on next! 7 of them in total! I haven't yet edited the content I have for it yet but I CAN tell you it's going to be an amazing video!!!! Looking forward to it personally.. This vase is pretty unique, and i want to offer them to the public in a effort to help support myself, let me know if you'd like one for yourself. This one is a practice run though. I even plan on making NEW butterfly canes of various colors for different color options, imagine mixing them up by using a few different color schemes!! And mixing vibrant colors into super sculpey for soft pastel-looking clay for the foundation.... let me know if you sound even a little interested in this, that would be great. Here are some links I mentioned in the video, check them out if interested! Closer look at the baking process in this Elephant video, the last video of that series: youtube.com/watch?v=1bw3xKcLDcE I talk about sanding a little more in this (old) Lizard wall art video: youtube.com/watch?v=nTv9ezO4xiE Facebook Page: facebook.com/PolymerClaySculpting Please subscribe if you're not already it mean so much to me.
