Description: Hey, sunshine! I hope you're having a bright, shiny day! I have a delightful, color block, knitted shawl pattern to show off today – Ascendance! In this video, I finally conquer my fear of Intarsia knitting in order to share some tips and tricks for making basic Intarsia joins. It's so easy, as long as you keep a couple of rules in mind! I also demonstrate the two main stitches that are used in this shawl. This pattern is suitable for an Intermediate knitter. Download Ascendance here: expressionfiberarts.com/products/ascendance.html (Did you know most of our patterns are free for a limited time? Just sign up for email updates, and you'll get notified when the next one goes live.) Ascendance was made with our lovely, all-season SeaCoast Fingering yarn. It's a mix of 83% soft Pima Cotton, 12% dreamy Baby Alpaca, and 5% Polyamide that results in a lovely, cuddly softness with a sumptuous drape. The sample shown in the video used the Brave and Free (C1), Edge of the Sea (C2) and White Cliffs (C3) SeaCoast Fingering colors: expressionfiberarts.com/categories/fingering/seacoast-fingering.html Please note that this base and this year's colors are limited edition. Once they are sold out, we will not have them again until next year, so be sure to purchase all you will need for your project. Have a fantastic day!
