When some Americans wanted to make a film on her life, they planned to cast Jacqueline Bisset, but Gayatri Devi insisted she only wanted me to play her role. The film unfortunately never happened. When she came for our rendezvous -- I was thrilled! She was 80 -- but her elegance and beauty was undiminished.
