The drill simulated a magnitude-7.5 earthquake in the Ganzhou District of Zhangye City that resulted in collapsed buildings, trapped people and damaged infrastructure. The drill involved more than 5,000 professional and auxiliary emergency response forces, nine aircraft and hundreds of vehicles.
