Description: Cheap Ebay axe modification and woodturning a scorpion in epoxy resin axe handle on the lathe. I did a hand forged rusty axe modification and restoration using a real scorpion cast in epoxy resin in the handle.I took this cheap axe/hatchet/tomahawk head I bought on Ebay for $25, forged a double bit out of an old hammer, and welded it on. The handle is made from pecan wood, and I carved out a void which I filled with epoxy resin and a real (but very dead) black emperor scorpion. I wood turned the handle on my Rockler Excelsior mini lathe. This was my first turning project.
