Description: Dreams do come true and this one is all about milling lumber. In this video I assemble something I have wanted for years, a Granberg Alaskan Mill which is powered by my best of a chainsaw, the legendary Stihl 090, 137cc's of raw torque. The mill went together great, the instructions were clear and the parts are clearly labeled. All the hardware can easily be sourced locally if you lose something. Even all the mill parts can be purchased individually if you break or something goes missing. Milling logs into lumber has been a desire of mine for years, not it is finally possible. With a chainsaw mill I can go straight to the log and don't need heavy equipment to move monster logs. In many cases, I find logs deep in the woods or in the backyards of houses where access is limited or non-existent. Using this mill I can mill logs to slabs and carry it out in pieces.....or roll them out on my canoe cart!
