Here's an excerpt about the song, in case you haven't read it yet: "Just A Kid" started off as a really depressing song where I was apologizing to my parents for not living up to my goals in life. Then I thought to myself: so what? I haven't achieved all the money, dreams, or career goals that I've wanted, but I'm doing it on my own terms. We spend so much time comparing ourselves to everyone else, when we really should just be telling ourselves that we are enough. I rewrote the lyrics and sent them off to Cadmium, who turned them into the awesome song you're listening to right now. What I've realized in the past two years is that I love being young at heart. When you're a kid, you're carefree, curious, and see the world with a little more positivity. I think we lose some of these traits as we grow older. In our struggles to deal with responsibilities, we forget how to enjoy life. This song is a little reminder to everyone to live a little and to never let the kid inside you die.
