Description: After 4 weeks I finally finished covering the roof of my log cabin with the boards and the water/moisture barrier. It's over a year and a half since I started building the log cabin and I had the logs exposed to the rain since the start and they are still looking great. I saw comments about the way I laid the waterproofing tape, why vertically and not horizontally... The reason for that was that doing it mostly by myself it was too complicated to lay it horizontally and I would not make it in time before the rain would wet the boards. I believe that it will work perfectly also this way, due to the steepness of the roof and considering this is just the secondary water protection, no water should leak through the primary cover. I also know this is not the correct way to do it and I don't advise anyone else to do it vertically.
